Bio

David Vernon Reader Jr, son of late father David Vernon Reader Sr. and Felicia Ford Reader was born on July 1st, 1994 in Greensboro North Carolina! Dj was homeschooled until middle school where he then attended Kiser Middle School in Greensboro North Carolina. Just as his mother, aunts, and uncles Dj would go on to Grimsley High School where he would excel in many sports.

Glen Ford, Dj’s uncle was a football standout earning a scholarship at the University of Tennessee and was enshrined in the Grimsley Sports Hall of Fame! Mother Felicia Reader was an all area softball player and earned a scholarship to the University of A&T State University on a full scholarship. It was no wonder Dj would go on to follow in the footsteps of his family before him and be a standout on and off the field. Dj’s father was a well respected area coach for many years and an esteemed educator in Guilford County and was a huge part in Dj’s academic success!

Mr. Reader was an advocate for all area players as well as tutored them for ACT and SAT Prep. Throughout high school Dj continued to amass a variety of accolades for various sports such as all regions and all conference honors in football, baseball, and basketball! Dj was selected to the East West Shrine Bowl where he began to make his name on his way to Clemson University to play baseball and football on a full scholarship!
